On the way back from Las Vegas to Sacramento we stopped for gas and bathrooms. We were about to leave but i was hungry and almost settled for subway until i realized this place. First off they had fresh food and it was nice knowing at this stop. We ordered an egg and cheese burrito where the eggs were freshly cracked! 3 asada tacos and a chicken quesadilla which came with rice and beans. It's the make as you order style and you see what they are putting as they are making it. The flavor was really good on my tacos! I ate mine in the parking lot and enjoyed every bite. On our way through the Central Valley we were near Avenal and searched on Yelp for a place to eat. We found El Sabroso Mexican Grill & Seafood off Highway 5 and Highway 269. This place had fresh and delicious food. We the salad with chicken, black beans and corn and a burrito. The "hot" salsa had excellent flavor and it wasn't unbearably spicy. If you are not used to eating spicy food don't chose the milder salsa. It's a great place to get something to eat. Be careful when entering and exiting because there are a lot of semi trucks. This place is inside the gas station.

I always stop by this place when I travel between northern and Southern California. This place serves really great tasting food with authentic Mexican flavors. The service is phenomenal, customer focused and very friendly, always with a smile. Will make this my permanent pit stop when traveling through the state. The ambiance gives travel vibes since 99% of the people coming here are hungry and tired travelers. If you happen to stop by give this place a shot.

Great food in a truck stop grill. So much better value than other options. 3 egg omelette with chorizo, peppers, onions, and cheese. Side of beams and rice. Grand total $13 and scrumptious.

LaSabroso is a small Mexican taco shop located inside a rest stop and travel center area along I5 in Huron, CA. We stopped here for tacos along our drive from LA to San Jose. Tacos were very good, especially considering it's a road-stop restaurant. We got shrimp tacos, guacamole and carne asada tacos, both were very good. We will stop here again. Who knew this little restaurant inside of the gas station was going to be so awesome? We ordered a barbacoa burrito and it was amazing. The staff was nice and friendly and made it quickly! And it was very reasonably priced. I recommend this place!

Hidden gem inside a Subway/gas station rest stop. Fresh/healthy eats. Al pastor was a little dry, but loved all the salad ingredients!
